Libyan National Army were killed in an attack on Saturday claimed by the Islamic State group, an LNA source said. Four guards were also kidnapped in the attack on a checkpoint in the central region of Zella.

Austrian far-right leader resigns

Vienna: Austrian Vice-Chancellor Heinz-Christian Strache, a key figure of the European far-right, resigned on Saturday after explosive revelations from a hidden camera sting, just days

before key EU elections. Chancellor Sebastian Kurz will make a televised statement from the chancellory building on the affair at 19:45 (17:45 GMT), with thousands of protesters already gathered outside to demand the Government as a whole resigns.

Speculation is rife that Kurz may seek further changes as the price of continuing his coalition.
