TellyWishes

Paridhi Sharma aka Babita from Patiala Babes: Like always, this year also my family and I will go to our home town to celebrate the festival. The most beautiful memory of Diwali from every year is that of rangoli making. I thoroughly enjoy making rangoli for Diwali. I wish everyone a happy and prosperous Diwali.

Roshni Walia aka Tara from Tara from Satara: Every Diwali we go to lengths to decorate and clean the house, make the rangolis, do the puja and visit all our friends. I’m not very fond of crackers for the impact they have and I have dogs who don’t like the noise and smell of it so we avoid, but I play with just some phuljadis, chakris and others. This year I am very excited as I’m planning to hold a get together with all my family and friends at my house.

Mudit Nayar aka Yogi from Ishaaron Ishaaron Mein: For me, Diwali is the festival of love, affection, happiness and most important sweets. Every year I get excited for Diwali thinking of eating different sweets and Diwali special snacks. In Mumbai, I stay with my wife Aprajita Shrivastava in my small world. We both will be celebrating our second Diwali together and we have already started preparing for the festival. It’s fun when we both clean and decorate our home along with shopping.

Shweta Mahadik aka Durga from Guddan Tumse Na Ho Paega: Diwali is my favourite festival because it is celebrated like a big fat Indian wedding in our country. The celebrations go on for four days with lights, sweets, rangoli, new clothes, diwali parties and the list is never ending. In fact, the festivities start almost a month in advance and Maharashtrians make these special delicacies called faraal. I remember my mother and nani making them and as kids we used to steal them from the containers to have the first bite.

Vrushika Mehta aka Asmita from Yeh Teri Galiyaan: Diwali is all about family members, friends and loved ones coming together and celebrating the festival. I love Diwali vibes, be it eating different sweets, witnessing light all over or the most exciting part — making rangoli. We always decorate the house with lights, candles, diyas and colourful rangolis. If I am not shooting this Diwali, I will definitely celebrate the festival with my family and hope this year, too, I get time to make it.

Eisha Singh aka Zara from Ishq Subhan Allah: Diwali is my favorite festival and I always look forward to celebrating it with my relatives. Every year, I visit my hometown, Bhopal, on this occasion and celebrate it with my friends and family. We always do a small puja at home and dress up in our best traditional attire and indulge in some amazing delicacies. Everyone must enjoy celebrating this beautiful festival of lights, this year with less crackers and more music. I would like to wish all a very Happy and prosperous Diwali.”

Pavitra Punia aka Timnasa from Baalveer Returns: For me, Diwali is a festival that gives you an opportunity to connect with your loved ones by meeting them, whether it’s your son who is working far away, or your daughter who is studying abroad and so on. I haven’t yet planned my Diwali this year as I have a tight schedule for my show Baalveer Returns. But if I get some time off, I would love to visit my parents in Delhi and celebrate this festival with them.

Harshad Arora aka Alok from Tera Kya Hoga Alia: Diwali is all about spreading happiness and prosperity. I usually celebrate this festival with my friends here in Mumbai as my family lives in Delhi. My friends and I always make it a point to do Diwali puja followed by a party.

Paritosh Tripathi: There are lots of memories of Diwali in my mind. In my childhood I used to celebrate Diwali two weeks prior and my mother used  to cook gujhiyas. Now, I have stopped going to my native place to celebrate Diwali after my father’s death. I also light oil lamps on the festival,  they give me some special happiness. They are good for the environment as well.

Simran Khanna aka Gayatri from Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai: I learned how to make laddo from mother, unfortunately this year she is not with us. So, I decided to make it on my own. I remember when I was in college, I used to practice hard for rangoli making to make the  best rangoli on Diwali.

Paresh Ganatra aka Mahendra from Bhakharwadi: I believe in celebrating every festival or special occasion with family and Diwali is the same for me. It is a time when everyone gets time off and I think it is the best occasion to spend time with family. Although, the best thing about Diwali is the variety of delicious sweets you get to eat. This year, apart from wishing everyone a very Happy Diwali, I would also pass on a message: Let’s make this Diwali a khushiyon wali feeling for those in need as well.

Aasiya Kazi aka Sharda from Tenali Rama: Diwali for me is meeting friends that I don’t get to meet often because my everyday routine is very monotonous as I go to work, return home and sleep. So, I make it a point to meet all my friends during the festival and spend some time with them. They call me to Diwali parties at their places and this is going to be my plan this year as well.

Meera Deosthale aka Vidya from Vidya: The significance of this festival is in performing the rituals like Laxmi poojan  together with your family. Every year I celebrate Diwali with my family and friends, which makes me feel extremely loved and happy. It also gives us an opportunity to light up the whole house with fairy lights and diyas and my mother makes delicious Diwali sweets for our family and friends.
