The Delhi Police has arrested a woman with her lover and a juvenile was detained after they had murdered a 52 year-old man in Delhi's South Avenue last week. Police said the woman, who was married with the deceased Suresh, was having extra marital affair and along with her lover she had hatched a conspiracy to kill her husband.
The accused have been identified as Anju (34), a resident of South Avenue, Shivam Thakur (21) and his brother who is a Juvenile both resident of Meerut in Uttar Pradesh (UP).
According to Madhur Verma, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), New Delhi district, a Police Control Room (PCR) call was received by the South Avenue Police Station on June 7, regarding a murder.
"During the investigation, the wife of the deceased Suresh told police that she was out of the home for walk along with her children when the incident occurred. Police found her statement suspicious," said the DCP.
"During scanning of the phone of Suresh's wife and on specific inputs it was revealed that she was in regular contact with someone in Meerut," said the DCP. "Simultaneous raids were conducted and the accused Shivam and his minor brother were apprehended from Delhi's Burari area and subsequently Anju was also arrested", said the DCP adding that the accused during interrogation confessed to the killing.
