‘Youth can do wonders'

Young Indians, chapter of CII, India’s Business Chamber, organised a session with MPs from across the nation. The theme ‘Vision of New India — Young India’ gave a platform for members of Parliament to share their work and development in various parts, which motivated young entrepreneurs to work for the nation.

The event was inaugurated by Union Minister for Jal Shakti, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, who infused enthusiasm in youth with his speech about success of government’s Mudra Yojna and other schemes. He talked about how farmers are being uplifted by reaching out to international market and raising profit share. He laid emphasis on need to conserve water and appealed youth to come forward and participate actively. He clearly envisioned a paradigm shift in India’s development for which the work has already started under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Delhi’s BJP president Manoj Tiwari talked about how regional entertainment industry is growing at a fast pace and giving platform to many people. He shared his journey from being a sports enthusiast to a singer and then to a politician trying to evolve masses for betterment of the country.

Bureaucrat-turned-politician Aparajita Sarangi said that she joined politics primarily to use this bigger canvas to reach out to masses as it gives a platform, which can bring about a change in socio economic development faster and evenly.

Poonam Mahajan’ laid emphasis on how the onus of development comes on youth especially the privileged ones, who must support tier 2 and tier 3 individuals so that can come out of poverty.

She cited an important role of women in villages and shared how they equally support the male member of the family in production. Just a simple idea of her’s clicked a fashion designer Anita Dongre of employing the women for making clothes. And now these handcrafted fabrics are being sold in the US and other parts of the world making villagers self sufficient. She spoke of simple how ideas if implemented with a goal can actually reap benefits in the long run.
