After Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation, the District Panchayat Raj Department has now also started the work of door-to-door garbage collection in 161 gram panchayats of the district. The responsibility of making organic manure from the collected garbage has been entrusted to the NGOs, who will sell the fertiliser to the farmers at very low prices. The information was given by District Panchayat Raj Officer (DPRO) Anil Kumar Tripathi. Organic manure is being prepared from wet waste while dry waste is being sold to local junk.
