The India Tourism Development Corporation Limited (ITDC), the public sector undertaking under the aegis of Ministry of Tourism, organised a session on ‘Empowerment of Women through Spirituality’, at its flagship institute—Ashok Institute of Hospitality and Tourism Management (AIHTM). The experiential session on the theme was conducted by Brahama Kumaris through the implementation of yoga techniques to strengthen the metaphysical self.
The practical approach reflected on the essence of meditation as unveiling the path to self-realisation, to be happy and healthy. Emphasis was given on how spirituality comes from within and what is the importance of the same in today’s fast paced time. The participants were also given practical understanding of the power mediation and how making it a part of daily lives can change our lifestyle. The session also helped in enlightening the consciousness for the power of positivity and self-reliance through self discipline, meditation and that we should always believe in ourselves.
The session was attended by Piyush Tiwari, Director (Commercial and Marketing), ITDC; Pradip Das, Director Finance, ITDC; Anita Bimal, Principal, AIHTM, and general manager (HRD), ITDC among other senior officials, women of the organisation and students of AIHTM.
