IndianOil’s Northern Region kicked off the ‘Safety Week’ celebrations by observing the ‘National Fire Service Day’ to create awareness on fire prevention, fire protection and renew its employees’ commitment towards safety. The company’s employees undertook the safety pledge which was followed by various safety awareness events and competitions. A safety training program for contract workers of the Northern Regional office was also organised during the week, wherein, inputs were provided to all the workers on usage of various fire and safety equipment, fire chemistry, fire organogram and emergency evacuation procedure. An exhibition of fire and safety equipment, inaugurated by Harsh Sachdev, Executive Director (Regional Services), IndianOil, Northern Region, was also set up to refresh the operating knowledge. He also released a booklet on ‘Safety Briefing’.
