NDMC bags cleanest small city award

The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) has bagged the award for the cleanest city in the small city category with one to three lakh population. Chairman Naresh Kumar has received the award from President Ram Nath Kovind at Vigyan Bhawan on Wednesday.

The chairman has said that the Council has also been awarded the ODF++ status and ranked for garbage-free city with three stars in the nationwide Swachhta award category.

Even though the aggregate score as per the parameters places the NDMC at second position, its overall ranking is fifth in the Swachh Survekshan 2019.

Congratulating the employees of NDMC in general and safai sevaks in particular, the chairman credited NDMC for getting the Swachhta awards.
