‘Not easy to make a multi-starer film’

Actor Riteish Deshmukh’s career started over 16 years ago with the standalone film Tujhe Meri Kasam, Riteish has mostly featured in multi-starrers. And he has no qualms about it.

“Why should I have any problem with that. For me, a good role and a good script matters the most. First of all when you do a multi-starrer film, one should know what part he/she is doing. If you are happy with it, you should go for it and give 100 per cent to it,” he said.

The 40-year-old feels people need to change their attitude towards multi-starrers.

Riteish added, “It is not easy to make a multi-starrer film. The more the actors, more the responsibilties on the director.”

‘Being constantly judged is a part of being a public figure, I do think people can be a little ruthless sometimes. It is very easy to sit in the comfort of your home, scroll through your Instagram feed and pass judgments on a celebrity's choice of outfit, hair and make-up. There are so many factors that contribute to that final look you. Like the kind of event it is, body types, what suits you and what doesn't.’

With the Hindi film industry condemning the Pulwama terror attack and not releasing films in Pakistan besides banning all Pakistani artistes from working in India, actress Vidya Balan said a strong stand needs to be taken this time.

“Though I have always believed that art should be kept away from all boundaries and politics, there is no better way to bring people together than arts, be it music, poetry, dance, theatre, cinema or any other form. But this time I think we should just take a break from this practice  and see what can be done for the future. Enough is enough,” Vidya said.

Minaj's show cancelled

Rapper Nicki Minaj's show in Slovakia got cancelled here due to technical issues.

Minaj's show, which was scheduled to take place on Friday, got cancelled as the venue organisers were not able to support the technical aspects of her stage.

“We're told transformers shut down... and the arena suffered several outages as a result,” a source said.

But the technical glitches did not stop Minaj from connecting to her fans. She later went on the stage and informed the audience about the issue and started interacting with them.

The new date for the Barbie Dreams rapper's Slovakia show will be announced soon.
