‘Dream Girl is my most commercial film’

Actor Ayushmann Khurrana, is on a dream run at the box office after delivering five back to back hits. His next film Dream Girl sees the actor venture into commercial masala entertainers.

He says, “Dream Girl is my most commercial, masala film till  date. I have always experimented with genres, roles and scripts. It’s a quintessential, hilarious Bollywood comedy that we have all seen and grown up on and also has a solid script. That’s a prerequisite for any film that I decide to back. It has to be out of the ordinary. The freshness and the innovativeness of the concept excited me to do this film.”

He says that through such films he is widening his reach.

‘Narrating the character of a rape victim was an eyeopener for me because I was introduced to a reality that I had no idea of. Whenever a rape case happens, one of the reasons why the victim does not go to the police station to report is that during the interrogation she is asked extremely uncomfortable questions.’
