Swara, Richa react to student’s arrest
Actors Swara Bhasker and Richa Chadha seem deeply disturbed by the news of the arresting of law student, who had accused BJP leader Chinmayanand of rape, by the Uttar Pradesh Police on charges of extortion and blackmailing.
Reacting to the news of the arrest tweeted by a journalist, Richa wrote, “What is happening!”
Swara tweeted, “Beti inhi se bachao (save your daughter from such people). Shame!”
The Shahjahanpur student, who has been arrested, has alleged that she was raped by Chinmayanand for over a year.
On the work front, Swara was last seen in Veere Di Wedding, which released last year.
‘It was quite a struggle when I started. I didn’t know anyone initially, and I wasn’t aware about how it all works in the industry. I gradually found my way and my whole focus was on creating music and doing the best that I could. Bollywood is a tough place for anything. But I’m happy with my career right now. And every girl should be proud of who she is.’
