‘I belong to no religion, I’m Indian’

Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan says he does not belong to any religion.

On Gandhi Jayanti, special episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati, host Big B was seen sharing an anecdote with the sociologist Bindeshwar Pathak.

“My surname ‘Bachchan’ does not belong to any religion as my father was against it. My surname was Srivastava, but we never believed in it. When I was taking admission in school, my father was asked my surname and then he suddenly decided this surname. When Census employees come to my place, they ask me about my religion and I always answer that I belong to no religion, I’m Indian,” said he.

‘I don’t think gender defines anything. Women and men are capable or as incapable as their merit makes them. Working with Shonali (Bose) was my honour. I think she is an incredible filmmaker and her gender doesn’t matter there. I don’t think that your estrogen changes the kind of films that you make.’

Justin pranked at PFW

Singer Justin Timberlake was targeted by serial prankster Vitalii Sediuk as he arrived at the Louis Vuitton Paris Fashion Week show with wife Jessica Biel.

The actor was heading inside the show when notorious pranskter Vitalii Sediuk grabbed a hold of his leg and wouldn’t let go — until security swooped in and removed him.

Beil, who was holding his hand, looked shocked but the couple appeared to quickly shake off the dramatic moment as they resumed their walk to the venue with smiles on their faces.
