Uttarakhand Tourism was awarded with the Best State-Adventure Tourism award at the South Asia Travel Awards event on Friday.
The award was received by Poonam Chand, joint director, Uttarakhand Tourism from Prahlad Singh Patel, minister of state for tourism and culture. He expressed his happiness over the same. Zurab Pololikashvili, secretary general, Unites Nation World Tourism Organisation in his video message said that this will act as a great incentive for the significant contributions made for the promotion of tourism in South Asia.
Greece was the official partner for the event. Ambassadors and officials from various countries, Vinod Zutshi, former secratory tourism, Sreya Guha, principle secretary, Rajasthan tourism, Pravin Kumar, secretary tourism, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu and various representatives from travel fraternity graced the occasion.
