Recently, Zee Music launched the Laung Song which is composed by King Sultan. The song has urban beats and its modern lyrics are given by Meet, and is sung by DR Harsh, Simrita and Ramneek.
The song is a fusion of Punjabi and Western music. Its video, directed by Soni Singh, is equally appealing. She excels in recreating sets that are not often seen in Punjabi music videos. The song introduces singer DR Harsh who is also a dancer. He said, “While I was working as a dancer, I used to casually sing as well. But then some of my friends said that I sing well and suggested me to try it.”
After giving it a thought, he tried his hands at singing. “When I sang in the studio, it gave me confidence. And later, when I saw people’s reactions, I was sure about pursuing my career in music,” added he.
Talking about his challenges, the dancer-turned-singer said that he was a worker in Delhi Metro during his initial days in the city. “When I came to Delhi with my brother, I never thought I would come this far. But slowly and gradually, I am doing good in my career. I believe in the philosophy of no pain, no gain. If we win without any struggles, we won’t realise the depth of our achievements. My family, friends and relatives have been a constant support system during my journey,” said he.
