MS (Research) programme in E-mobility

The Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati has introduced a new programme, MS (Research) in E-mobility. Due to the multidisciplinary nature of the curriculum, the programme is being jointly offered by the Departments of Electronics and Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering from the coming academic year (2020-2021). The admission procedure have started for 2020.

Prof TG. Sitharam, Director, IIT Guwahati, said: “We are looking forward to fostering interactions with the industry in frontier technologies, including introducing courses on EV and e-mobility technologies, such that highly trained manpower is readily available in these interdisciplinary areas and the country keeps pace with global trend.”

The institute is offering 20 seats — 10 are for the students who have completed their BTech in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Production Engineering and rest are for industry-sponsored candidates. The selection of industry-sponsored candidates will be through a written test and/or interview.

Re.Start course to reskill people

Internshala Trainings has launched its coronavirus initiative — Re.Start — to help professionals reskill themselves and rebuild their careers. Under this initiative, training will be provided (free access to its online programmes) to those people who have lost their jobs recently due to the COVID-19 outbreak and are planning to upskill themselves. Candidates can apply for the trainings by July 15, 2020.

The trainings will be provided to 1000 applicants at first and will be gradually rolled out for all the eligible candidates. The aspirants could apply for one of the 20 short duration trainings programmes including ethical hacking, programming with Python, digital marketing, graphic design, creative writing, financial modeling and valuation, Android app development, French language, machine learning, AutoCAD, data science, and many more.
