Covid recovery improving, Yogi advises caution

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that Covid -19 recovery rate in the state was fast improving but negligence should be avoided till the vaccine arrived.

The chief minister said t hat all district officials have been directed to ensure that Covid protocol was not violated during festivals, especially in Puja and Ram Leela pandals, where a large number of people congregate.

Yogi also told officials to ensure that no programmes were held in Containment zones and that the number of visitors to any venue be restricted for ensuing social distancing norms. The Chief Minister appealed to the people that due to the spread of Covid and Dengue, they should keep their localities clean to prevent any kind of pandemic. 

Meanwhile, Additional Chief Secretary, Health, Amit  Mohan Prasad said in Lucknow on Saturday that Covid 19 recovery rate further improved to 92.62 percent in the state and on Friday, a total of 1.39 lakh samples were tested in the state.

Prasad informed that 2277 new cases were reported in the last 24-hours taking the number of total active cases to 27,681 in the state. He said that the active case percentage had also dipped to 59.43.

The top official revealed that in the last 24-hours, 2852 patients were discharged and so far, 4.33 lakh pateints were successfully treated. He said that till now, 2.63 lakh patients got treatment in home isolation and 2.50 lakh recopvered fully.

Prasad further said that 1.46 lakh surveillance teams visited 4.32 lakh areas across the state visiting 2.77 crore homes and checked the health of 13.63 crore people of the state. Besides, 1.60 lakh were provided medical consultation through E-Sanjeevani Portal.

The officials said that the government would also run a special drive in November to vaccinate 4 lakh children, who missed out in the last phases.

“Between November 2 and 11,  a campaign against TB will also be run in 31 districts of the state. Earlier, 41 districts were covered under similar campaigns. Those villages left to be included under Ayushman Scheme will now be covered through the special drive. Besides, residents of 7000 more villages will be provided Golden Card in the next month,” informed Prasad.
