Delhi SI shot at lover in Alipur

A Delhi Police Sub-Inspector (SI) allegedly shot at her lover in Delhi's Alipur area on Sunday.The accused has been identified as Sandeep Dahiya, who was posted at Lahori Gate police station.

According to Gaurav Sharma, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Outernorth, information was received from SI Jaiveer, posted at Shahbad dairy of Outer North District, that while crossing Sai mandir on GTK road,  he spotted a girl lying down on roadside.

"On seeing her, he immediately shifted the girl in his private car and straight away rushed to nearby hospital. On the way, victim revealed that she has been shot by Sandeep Dahiya," said the DCP.

"During initial investigation, it was revealed that the victim and the accused were having affairs since last year. The  incident took place in midst of the quarrel over some issue while they were roaming in his car," said the DCP.

"It was also revealed that Sandeep is having matrimonial dispute with his wife and is reportedly being separated. The condition of victim is stable and her life has been saved because of pro active action of SI Jaiveer," said the DCP.

"A case under relevant sections of Indian Penal Code (IPC) has been registered at Alipur police station and manhunt has been initiated to nab Sandeep," the DCP added.
