Thursday, 12 November 2020 | PNS | Aligarh

For the Master Plan 2031, special attention is being given to industries. Preparations are going on to connect Dhanipur airstrip and its three flying clubs to Jewar International Airport to start air taxi and air ambulance up to Jewar and NCR in the future.

In these flying clubs, drone cameras flying training, training of airport ground staff and air hostess will soon be started along with the training of commercial pilots.

This will create new employment opportunities and after training in Aligarh, the people will be able to get different jobs at Jewar Airport. Aligarh can become a major hub in the region, as there are no three flying clubs anywhere else in the state.

The Dhanipur airstrip on GT Road towards Kanpur is being upgraded. Soon flight to Lucknow will be start from here along with other cities of the state as well. There is three flying clubs where commercial pilot training is also planned. This airstrip is being given a special place in Master Plan 2031 to allow commercial pilot training in Aligarh. The drone training program is also starting here. Ambition Flying has sought permission from the Director-General Civil Aviation for this. After this, candidates will be able to undergo authentic training in flying and recording drones and will be able to help in the survey of the homes and shops under the land ownership scheme of the Indian Government.

In addition, a common facility center will be established for the lock hardware industry. Small Industry Zones will be set up around the city where the industries from the densely populated area will be shifted. Meat export units of Mathura Road will also be streamlined. Urban planner Santosh Chaudhary, who is preparing the master plan had discussed these issues with officials.

Vishal Garg, Director Ambition Flying Club said that they are having commercial pilot training here and preparations are being made to conduct an authentic course to fly drone cameras. There is already an Air Hostess Training Center in Ghaziabad which will transfer here. In the future, hundreds of youth can be employed at Jewar Airport by taking airport grand staff training. Air taxi, air ambulance facilities can be provided easily. Work will start as soon as permission is granted.

DS Bhadauria, Executive Engineer, ADA told that the master plan will have industry zones around the city. By this, pollution can be controlled by removing industries from a densely populated area. Meat export units will be organized. A common facility center will be established. Air taxi service from Dhanipur airstrip is a better option for the future. Flying clubs also want to increase income and employment from such work. We will make modern models for their development. Permission will be sought.

According to Santosh Chaudhary, Urban Planner, three flying clubs operate along the airstrip in Aligarh itself. From here, new employment opportunities can be generated by starting training of commercial pilots, air hostess, airport ground staff. Therefore, high rise buildings cannot be built on the side of the Dhanipur airstrip. The master plan will promote development and employment by connecting this airstrip to Jewar International Airport. All officials are discussing this.
