DJB to augment water capacity to meet shortage

Tuesday, 02 June 2020 | Staff Reporter | NEW DELHI

In order to provide uninterrupted water services to the residents during peak summer, Delhi Jal Board is working tirelessly in this pandemic situation to augment the water capacity.

Vice Chairman of DJB, Raghav Chadha, has identified unutilised capacity that can be availed of and will, in turn, increase the total production of Chandrawal ‘Waste Treatment Plant’ (WTP) from 8 to 10 MGD.

Chadha directed the administrative and engineering staffs to consider the unutilised capacity at the earliest only for summer months in order to cater the growing demand during the peak summers.
