Yogi: ‘New India’ under leadership of Modi

Tuesday, 01 December 2020 | PNS | Varanasi

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said on Monday that owing to the new work culture developed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for developing infrastructure in the country, on an average two kilometres of highway were being constructed every day in Uttar Pradesh.

He was speaking at a function in Varanasi where Prime Minister Narendra Modi dedicated to the people a six-lane highway connecting two ancient cities of the State — Varanasi and Prayagraj — on the occasion of Dev Deepawali.

The Rs 2,447-crore project used ultra-modern technology in making 73 km of six-lane highway.

The CM said a ‘New India’ had emerged under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi due to which the country was making strides in the world through social, economic and diplomatic strategies put to implementation since 2014.

The chief minister said that it was the emotional connect of Prime Minister Narendra Modi with Kashi that the religious and mythological city of Varanasi was re-living its glorious past with appropriate inputs of modernity for its development.

“Projects worth Rs 18,000 crore have been dedicated to Varanasi during the last six years. Many of these projects have already come on ground while others are in various stages of implementation,’’ he said.

Yogi Adityanath promised all support from the state government to augment sustained efforts of the prime minister towards making ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ and said Uttar Pradesh would give its best in realising his dreams to make India a power to reckon with in all times to come.
