‘I learnt to be patient’

Staying at home has been a great learning lesson for some people. Sony SAB’s artist Aasiya Kazi who plays Sharda in Tenali Rama says: “This period of staying at home has taught me to be patient. I never thought our lives would come to a standstill and we would be restricted to staying indoors. Having said that, this break has helped me reboot my mind and has given me a great opportunity to spend time with my family. This is also a lesson for us that how we take our freedom and the well-being of our nature for granted. This phase has enabled me to reflect upon how we need to take care of our Mother Nature going forward. I also eagerly look forward to going back to shoot for Tenali Rama and meet my co-stars and friends.”

Manisha turns artist

Manisha Rawat who is essaying the role of Maa Saraswati in the show Jag Jaanani Maa Vaishno DeviKahani Mata Rani Ki decided to explore her painting skills during this lockdown. Turns out this immensely talented actor is an amazing artist too. She believes in trying times like this adding colour to your life might just brighten up your day.

When spoken to the multi-talented actor about her painting skills she said: “Painting has been my hobby ever since I was a kid. But now, due to hectic shoot schedules I don’t really get the time to paint regularly. I used to paint only during special occasions to present a gift to my close and loved ones in order to make them feel special with a gift that has a personal touch to it. Although on a brighter side, this lockdown has helped relive my childhood days and I have revisited my love for painting.”

Manisha further added: “Painting makes me feel calm and brings in a lot of positivity in me. It helps me be in a different world. I would suggest everyone to do something that they always wanted to do and couldn’t because of time constraints. This is a real good opportunity to explore your rusty childhood skills and hobbies and work on it; not only will that you remain positive during this phase, it will also make you happy.”

COVID-19 has brought out the talents of many artists and hopefully Manisha Rawat gives more surprises to us and explores her inner talent and shares it with her fans

Dilawar rana is back

Successful, in control, adored by women and looked up to by peers… the stereotypical man knows no fear. But what happens when the situation involves a haunted house and an even spookier childhood memory attached to it? Tab shaayad Mard ko dard nahi hoga par mard ko darr toh zaroor lagega.

After Official Chukyagiri and Official CEOgiri, Dilawar Rana aka D-Sir essayed by the digital sensation Sumeet Vyas is back in An Arré Original and MX Exclusive Official Bhootiyagiri in association with Biryani By Kilo and Adda52. In its third edition, this dramedy traces the out-of-the-ordinary life of Dilawar Rana who is offered a deal to stay out of jail, but a condition is thrust upon him: he must run a dodgy hotel owned by his family and make it profitable. The catch? The hotel is haunted and Dilawar must go beyond mere mortals and emerge triumphant when pitted against a bhoot!

The series also features Eisha Chopra, Pranay Manchanda, Mohan Kapoor, Sujata Segal, Udita Bhalla, Naveen Prabhakar, Ajay Kapoor and is directed by Vishwajoy Mukherjee.

Talking about this season and playing Dilawar Rana, Sumeet Vyas said: “I’ve always enjoyed working with Arré on the Official Chukyagiri and CEOgiri series.  I believe this medium allows you to tell different stories and build unique characters that allows us as actors to innovate and try new things. Dilawar Rana as a character has evolved with every season of this popular franchise. And this time - his sharp business acumen will put him through his greatest challenge yet, getting him to face the ghosts of his past — literally.”

Rati pandey creates magics

Petite and beautiful Rati Pandey is known to create magic on-screen. With a plethora of uniquely diverse yet powerful roles under her belt, Rati has come a long way. From a bubbly, outspoken and vivacious college girl to a strict, disciplined and hardworking lady, she has given the audiences a taste of her versatility and is now recognised as one of the most talented actors in telly town.

Currently essaying the role of Goddess Parvati in Dangal TV’s Devi Adi Parashakti, Rati has yet again charmed the audience by displaying her varied and exemplary acting skills. However, when she bagged the role of the Goddess, she was apprehensive about essaying the role, as Rati has always had a tomboy personality.

Speaking on this Rati says: “I have always wanted to try out different characters and looks. This is my first attempt in a mythological character and I was extremely nervous about it as I have always behaved like a tomboy in my real life. The character that I am portraying requires me to speak in pure Hindi which was a difficult task for me. This role was particularly challenging for me as I had to portray different roles such as Kaali Maa, Goddess Durga and at times Goddess Parvati. When I told my mom about my role, she too was apprehensive and asked me if I would be able to do justice to the role, because of my off-screen persona. However, while playing the character I got to learn a lot and gained immense knowledge. The ability to essay various role within the same show made me say yes to Devi. And I am glad for this decision of mine.”
