Odisha's COVID-19 tally Surged to 3,17,239 on Friday as 594 more people tested positive, a Health Department official said.
The state also reported 14 fatalities, following which the toll rose to 1,718, he said.
Of the new cases detected, 343 were reported from different quarantine centres.
Khurda district, of which Bhubaneswar is a part, reported the highest 56 new cases, followed by Cuttack and Sundergarh with 55 cases each.
Of the latest fatalities, Sundergarh and Angul reported four deaths each, followed by Balasore and Khurda (two each) and one patient each died in Nayagarh and Puri districts.
Khurda has recorded the highest number of fatalities with 288 deaths so far, followed by Ganjam (240), Sundergarh (145), Cuttack (134) and Puri (101).
There are 6,629 active cases in the state at present, while 3,08,839 patients have recovered.
The state has so far tested over 57.77 lakh samples for COVID-19, including 44,980 on Thursday.
Odisha's positivity rate is at 5.49 per cent, as per the data released by the government.
