At least 531 more people tested positive for COVID-19 in Tripura on Tuesday, pushing the tally in the state to 19,718, a health department official said.
The death toll rose to 207 with seven more fatalities, he said.
West Tripura district, which also comprises state capital Agartala, accounted for 115 of the 207 coronavirus deaths, the official said.
According to him, 389 patients were cured of the disease and discharged from the G B Pant Hospital here on Monday, taking the number of recoveries in the state to 11,925.
Tripura now has 7,564 active COVID-19 cases, while 22 patients have migrated to other states, the official said.
A total of 3,35,689 samples have been tested for COVID-19 in the state so far, he added.
