‘CM aerial visit to flood-hit areas doubtful’

Sunday, 18 October 2020 | PNS | BHUBANESWAR

Raising questions over Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s recent aerial visit to flood-affected districts, RTI activist Pradip Pradhan on Saturday demanded that the Chief Minister’s Office give a clarification in this regard. Addressing a Press meet, Pradhan put five questions and sought answers from the CMO. “Has the CM really made an aerial visit to flood-hit districts?  If yes, which areas the CM visited in just 19 minutes,” asked Pradhan.

He also wanted to know the names of officers and doctor who accompanied him, if any. He too wanted that all videos of the CM visit be made public  “According to Airport Authority of India, the State Government’s helicopter flew for 19 minutes from 10.10 am 10.31 am.  It is difficult to conduct the aerial survey in 19 minutes. People have the right to know the truth,” said Pradhan.
