In a letter addressed to the Executive Officer of Jharsuguda Municipality, Dipali Das, daughter and representative of Health Minister and Jharsuguda MLA Naba Kishore Das, said the soldiers in the war against corona like doctors, nurses and other medical staffs should be empowered and provided all support.
She said the global war against corona could be won only by adherence to rules and law and order. The civic society of Jharsuguda is playing an important part in this and their efforts need to be recognised by the administration.
Das also attended different programmes organised by the civil society in the Jharsuguda constituency. On June 22, one such meeting was held by many voluntary organisations including Khidmat Committee to honour Covid warriors by issuing appreciation letters and certificates in the presence of Das, who expressed her gratitude to the organisations and Jharsuguda people for their wholehearted support for the cause.
Das said Jharsuguda district has done a good job of handling the spread of the pandemic and appealed to the denizens not to get swayed away by negative propaganda by some vested interests. She asserted that such negativity could not detract her from serving people as long as people have strong faith in her service to mankind.
