Ranchi District Administration will primarily use Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds in the development of four areas which includes health, education, livelihood and agriculture. Ranchi Deputy Commissioner (DC) Chavi Ranjan said during the CSR meeting here on Monday.
The work plan prepared for CSR Fund was discussed during the meeting and also, the use of funds in future schemes was also discussed.
Ranjan said that among these four sectors- modernization of Anganwadi centers, smart classes, upgrading of PSC and CHC, increasing solar capacity in agriculture, construction of store houses and others are to be done from the CSR fund of the companies.
In the meeting, the Chamber of Commerce and the representatives of the concerned company, industry were first informed about the projects prepared by Deputy Development Commissioner Ranchi, Ananya Mittal, which can be completed using the CSR funds of various companies. Representatives of the respective company, industry also gave their opinion on the proposed projects.
The projects prepared by the district administration were shared with the Chamber of Commerce and representatives of the concerned company and industry. On the occasion, the DC said that any of these projects which can be taken up for the financial year 2020-21, should be prepared and made available to the district administration. He said that an action plan will be made on the release of funds by companies.
Ranjan said that after the Corona infection period, the gap in health, education, livelihood and agriculture needs to be filled as soon as possible. He asked the company and industry representatives to give their suggestions about this. The Deputy Commissioner said that other states and districts should give their suggestions related to such works being done in Ranchi. The DC said that the entire team of the district administration is ready for the support of the companies round the clock and the administration is ready for every kind of help.
Pramod Ranjan, DGM of Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL) honoured the DC and the DDC by giving them a shawl and Memento for better implementation of development works through CSR Fund. IOCL's DGM Pramod Ranjan said that CSR funds are getting better use of development works in Ranchi district; the company will continue to support the district administration in future also.
