‘Let Samvidhan Diwas be mass fest’

Friday, 27 November 2020 | PNS | BHUBANESWAR

The Constitution of India has given Fundamental Rights including the Freedom of Speech to every citizen and therefore there is a need to observe the Samvidhan Diwas in a grand way, said Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan while garlanding the statue of Father of Constitution Dr BR Ambedkar and paying tributes to him here on Thursday.

Pradhan said that 71 years back, on November 26, 1949 the Constitution of India was adopted by the Constituent Assembly and it was Narendra Modi who first had declared to observe the day as Samvidhan Divas after taking over as the PM. By observing the day in a grand manner, the BJP has shown its commitment to the constitutional values and respect for DR Ambedkar, told Pradhan.
