A woman tested negative for Covid-19 despite staying in home quarantine with her 10-year-old son who tested positive for the virus. The mother-son duo returned from New Delhi recently and was quarantined under the same roof.
The boy, a resident of Sector-IX B, Street-11, has been shifted to Covid isolation ward of BGH,hospital Bokaro. His contact tracing his being done.
At present, the total number of active cases in Bokaro district has gone up to 12.
Today a total of 211 samples were collected, out of which 149 samples have been sent from PMCH Dhanbad and 62 samples from True Net for investigation.
Deputy Commissioner Mukesh Kumar has appealed to the residents of the district, especially to the residents of the urban area, that everyone should compulsorily use masks, follow social distance and wash your hands with soap at regular intervals, stay in your own homes.
Deputy Commissioner Mukesh Kumar said that the work of sanitising the house and surrounding areas of the said infected boy is also going on.
“People do not need to be afraid. People should cooperate with the government and district administration in defeating the global epidemic corona by following the lockdown,” he said.
According to the directives issued by the Government, the border of the infected boy’s residence as the focal point is declared as the contention zone.
