As many as 12 new 33/11 k.v. sub-stations are being constructed by the Madhya Kshetra Vidyut Vitran Company in 8 districts falling under the Gwalior-Chambal division. Apart from this, in the existing 20 sub-centers, additional power transformers are being installed and capacity of 13 power transformers is being increased.
In these districts also, 282 k.m. long 33 k.v. line and 378 k.m. long 11 k.v. line is being laid down. In addition, 105 additional transformers, capacity enhancement of 75 distribution transformers and new capacitors in 26 sub-centers are being installed. Concrete arrangements are being ensured by spending Rs 70 crore on all these works to ensure supply of quality power with suitable voltage to farmers in Rabi season.
Minister for Energy Pradyuman Singh has directed the officials to complete all the sanctioned works within stipulated time, so that uninterrupted power supply could be ensured to farmers and people during the declared period.
Madhya Kshetra Vidyut Vitran Company has informed that the construction work of new sub-stations of 33 k.v. is in progress in Bhitarwar of Gwalior district, Dholpur Road, Chambal Colony and Phoolpur of Morena district, Binaganj, Dobra, Simrod of Guna district, Ratikheda and Sowat of Ashok Nagar district and Baroda of Sheopur district besides other places. Similarly, work to install additional power transformers is being done in Digunva, Parsoda Baman of Datia district, Mangarh of Bhind district, Jhundpura, Bichola, Kamtheri, Thara of Morena district, Avan of Guna district, Kukretha, Chanderi of Ashok Nagar district, Rannod, Lalgarh of Shivpuri district, Premsar, Nanabad, Bardha, Makdabada, Utanbad, Talabada and Charond of Sheopur district.
In addition, Work to enhance the capacity of power transformers is in progress in Bikar and Udina of Datia, Rawatpura, Lilohi of Bhind, Badbai of Morena, Barod Naseerpur and Barkhera Khurd of Guna, Rajpur, Kachnar in Ashok Nagar, Sirsod and Baanskhedi in Shivpuri and Dhoti of Sheopur.
