14 selected for Junior National Equestrian Competition

The 14 equestrians of the State Equestrian Academy have qualified for the Junior National Equestrian Competition by performing brilliantly in the Regional Equestrian League held at Madhya Pradesh State Equestrian Academy Bhopal.

The Junior National Equestrian Competition will be held at the Army Polo Riding Club, Delhi from 20 to 30 December 2020.

In the Regional Equestrian League played for two days at the State Equestrian Academy, seven players from Junior Group, three from Children Group-2 and four from Children Group-One have been selected for Junior National Competition.

Under this, in the junior group, the players of the academy, Omar Ali, Meera Malaiya and Heral Joshi qualified in De Saj, Adarsh Rathore, Anshpreet Singh Bindra Aditya Ayush Singh and Raju Singh in De Saj and Jumping. Similarly, Arjun Singh, Sanskar Rathore and Vineet Parihar in Children Group-2 and M.D. in Children Group-1.

Hamza Aqil, Arjun Malaiya, Jyoti Vishwakarma and Bholu Parmar qualified in de-equipment and jumping. The cavalry of the academy participated in the league under the guidance of Captain Bhagirath, the chief instructor of the academy.

Minister of Sports and Youth Welfare,  Yashodhara Raje Scindia while congratulating and wishing the selected players for the Junior National Equestrian Competition said that through the Madhya Pradesh State Equestrian Academy, international level sports facilities and training are being provided to the players.

Sports Minister has expressed happiness over the successful organization of the Regional Equestrian League held at the Equestrian Academy, Bhopal. She appointed Jury Member Commandant (Re) Naresh Tehlan and Colonel (Re) R.S. Ahluwalia was honored with a memento. Director Sports and Youth Welfare Pawan Kumar Jain welcomed the jurors.

Director Sports and Youth Welfare Pawan Kumar Jain said that Minister of Sports and Youth Welfare,  established at the initiative of Yashodhara Raje Scindia.

The State Equestrian Academy players have so far won 22 medals including 11 gold, 04 silver and 07 bronze in international equestrian competitions. While it has earned 134 medals in national equestrian competitions including 49 gold, 53 silver and 32 bronze medals.
