Unable to bear pressure of withdrawing case of gang rape a 15-year-old girl who attempted suicide by hanging with the ceiling at her house on July 1 died while undergoing treatment in the night on Thursday.
The victim was a resident of Dhuakhedi and was gang raped by her uncle and other relative on February 16.
In the investigation police nabbed the two accused but as the two were relatives victim was pressurized to withdraw case but she was not willing for withdrawal and finally harassed by the relatives she attempted suicide on July 1 and later died during treatment.
Police said that the assault surfaced after the victim reported illness and when she was taken to a hospital, she revealed sexual assault by the two accused.
Then, her mother took her to Kolar police and lodged the complaint.
Notably, the victim's paternal aunt, her husband and mother’s cousin came to her house.
Late in the night ,when the victim was alone, the two accused sexually assaulted her threatening her of life.
Afraid of the accused, the victim kept mum but later when she got ill and taken to a hospital, she revealed everything.
Further, police registered a case under section 376 and 506 of the IPC and sections of POCSO Act and two were nabbed.
