A 16-year-old youth was allegedly sodomised by fellow juvenile in a correction home in north Delhi’s Mukherjee Nagar area. The incident occurred on Wednesday. According to a senior police official, police received information from Welfare Officer OHB-II, Sewa Kutir, Kingsway Camp regarding allegation of sexual assault by one inmate.
“During enquiry, the victim stated that on Wednesday around 12:30 am, he woke up and went to the washroom. Meanwhile, one 17-year-old inmate came there and forcefully sodomised him in the washroom,” said the senior police official.
“On the statement of complainant, a case under relevant sections was registered at Mukherjee Nagar police station and investigation taken up. Medical examination of both got conducted at Babu Jagjivan Ram Memorial Hospital,” he said.
Statement of the victim under section 164 Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) will be recorded by the court on Saturday, police said
