A 16-year-old girl was found dead under suspicious circumstances near Imperial Harmony apartment in the morning; girl went missing in the evening and was found dead at the premises of other building in the same locality.
The deceased Priyanka Shrivastava was found dead after she went missing in the evening on Tuesday and later found dead in the morning on Wednesday.
In the initial investigation it was found that the girl was a resident of Narmada apartments while she jumped from second floor of Imperial Harmony apartments.
After the body was spotted by the locals police were informed and it was sent for post mortem. The police registered case under section 174 of the CrPC.
SDOP Misrod AK Mishra told that the girl was chatting over mobile phone and was scolded and phone was taken by family which angered her and she left the home and locked the door from outside.
The family members later started to search for her but failed to find her and a missing person complaint was lodged in the evening.
The girl was later found dead in the next morning. It was found that she jumped from second floor of a five storey building in the same locality,he added.
Mishra said that the girl jumped in the night but her body was found in the morning. Any visible injury marks or any kind of other signs of struggle were not found. The post mortem report is awaited which could reveal further details.
