A 16-year-old youth committed suicide by shooting himself by licensed gun of his father at BDA Colony under Shahjehanabad police station area in the morning on Friday.
The deceased Mohammad Amaan committed suicide inside his house, he was spotted in a pool of blood by family and rushed to hospital where he was declared dead.
He shot himself in the head from point blank range.
CSP Shahjehanabad Nagendra Pateria said that the reason behind the suicide remained unknown. He used licensed gun of his father to commit suicide.
The grandfather deals in water supply in the area while father Ameen is a businessman and family is well to do still none of the family members were aware of any kind of problem the deceased was facing.
Another thing which was found in the investigation was a dispute of the deceased few days with a Jehangirabad based youth Yusuf which occured at Bab E Ali ground and who was nabbed after the dispute while the fight was pacified, he added.
Amaan was lone son of Ameen while Amaan had a sister. The mobile phone details would be investigated as activities and interactions over social networking sites and social media could reveal details. The call record details would also be investigated, said police.
The deceased was a class 11 student of a private school.
Police found something on instagram account but it was not clear that the account was operated by deceased and photograph of the deceased was not used in the account.
