Khajuri police arrested 19-year-old under trial prisoner who escaped from Hamidia hospital on Sunday night; accused was brought to treatment after testing positive of Covid-19 from Raisen at Hamidia hospital during which he fled.
After the accused escaped from the hospital police stations and patrolling parties were alerted and search for intensified by the police. The accused was traced by Khajuri police and arrested on Tuesday.
The under trial prisoner Babu Ladhi was detained on the charges of murder by Raisen police.
He escaped from the Hamidia hospital when he was brought for treatment after testing positive for Covid-19.
Police said that the accused was brought from Raisen and was arrested under murder charges and his charge sheet was yet to be produced.
Few days ago, he fell ill and was tested positive for Covid-19 after which he was referred to Hamidia hospital for treatment after orders were issued by Magistrate but the prisoner tricked the police at the hospital and escaped.
At the hospital when he was not found on duty security, policeman and staff started search for him at hospital premises as well as nearby areas but he was not found and they approached Koh-e-Fiza police station to report the incident and based on the complaint police have registered a case.
The police checked the CCTV footages of cameras installed in the premises and nearby area.
Details during the period his remained absconding would be investigated.
The aides who helped him would also be searched and nabbed.
