2 Kyrgyzstan returned students found positive

Two medical students from Kyrgyzstan were found Carona positive here on Saturday evening. Now only 31 patients are under treatment at Hazaribag Medical College and Hospital and in Arogyam hospital. Total 168 patients have been discharged till Saturday by both the hospitals.

HMCH Superintendent Sanjay Sinha said that the 2 new Corona positive patients have been shifted to Hazaribag Medical College and Hospital.

Sinha said that both the youth (aged 19 and 23) are the residents of Giridih district. They are the medical students in Kyrgyzstan. 19 students came from Kyrgyzstan to Gaya International airport. Hazaribag administration received them from airport and quarantined at AK International hotel in Hazaribag.

The blood reports of all the students were sent to RIMS. Out of 19 reports 17 came negative and 2 resulted as positive. After getting the positive report both the students (Boy and Girl) were admitted to HMCH.

Sinha said that at present only 31 active patients are in the hospital under treatment, out of which 14 are in HMCH, 15 in Covid 19 Arogyam  hospital and 2 are in RIMS.

Total 168 patients have been released from hospitals after their recovery. The total number of cases in the district is 202.

They said, “We have sent 5663 samples for testing, out of which 5278 resulted as negative and 251 samples are still pending in both the testing labs.”
