Indian Railways has announced partially restoration of train services from June 1 as 200 special trains will run across the country in which more than 1.45 lakh passengers will travel on day one.
In order to board trains, passengers have to reach station at least 90 minutes in advance and only those with confirmed or RAC (reservation against cancellation) tickets shall be allowed to enter the Railway station.
As per MHA guidelines all passengers shall be compulsorily screened and only asymptomatic passengers shall be allowed to enter/board the train. The decision was taken by Ministry of Railways after consultation with Ministry of Health and FamilyWelfare (MoHFW) and Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA).
A senior railway official said that these are fully reserved trains having both AC and non AC classes. General (GS) coaches have reserved sitting accommodation and there will be no unreserved coach in the train.
“Normal class wise fare will be charged and for reserved GS coaches (General sitting), being reserved, second seating (2S) fare for reserved trains shall be charged and seat will be provided to all the passengers,’ he said.
