A total of 305 persons tested positive for Covid-19 in the state on Thursday. No deaths of Covid patients were reported on the day while 456 patients recovered from the disease.
With this, while the total number of Covid cases in the state has climbed to 61,566, the number of recovered patients has also climbed higher to 56,529 leaving a total of 3,545 active cases in the state. The recovery percentage in the state is currently 91.82 per cent.
Of the people found positive for Covid on Thursday, eight were found in Almora district, 10 in Bageshwar, 22 in Chamoli and six in Champawat. Similarly, 78 positive cases were found in Dehradun, 24 in Haridwar, 33 each in Nainital and Pauri, 14 in Pithoragarh, 21 in Rudraprayag, 24 each in Tehri Garhwal and Udham Singh Nagar, and eight in Uttarkashi.
Of the total active cases at present, the highest- 773 are in Dehradun district followed by Pauri with 391 and Haridwar with 390.
Among the other districts, Almora has 91 active cases, Bageshwar has 115, Chamoli has 175, Champawat has 138, Nainital has 371,
Pithoragarh has 187, Rudraprayag has 216, Tehri has 223, Udham Singh Nagar has 259 while Uttarkashi has 216.
