The number of novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) patients in Uttarakhand scaled to 11, 615 on Friday with the State health department reporting 313 fresh cases of the disease.

Deaths of four patients were also reported on the day which increased the death toll to 147 in the State. The authorities discharged 488 patients from different hospitals after their recovery on Friday. The state now has a total of 7502 recovered patients which puts the recovery percentage at 64.59 percent.

The doubling rate of the disease in Uttarakhand is at 24.36 days.Two patients of the disease (52 year old males) were reported dead at District hospital Pithoragarh while an 86 year old patient died at Government Medical College Haldwani on the day. Similarly a 77 year old male was reported dead at Government Doon Medical College (GDMC) hospital on the day.

The authorities reported 122 patients in Haridwar, 73 in Dehradun, 54 in Nainital, 24 in Udham Singh Nagar, 23 in Tehri, six in Uttarkashi, five in Champawat, two each in Pithoragarh and Bageshwar and one each in Pauri and Chamoli district on Friday. In what can be termed as a good development in Covid-19 battered Udham Singh Nagar district, 217 patients were discharged from hospitals after recovery on Friday.

Similarly 122 patients were discharged in Haridwar district on the day while 47 patients were discharged in Dehradun, 38 in Pithoragarh, 35 in Nainital, 12 in Pauri, seven in Bageshwar, four in Tehri and three each in Champawat and Almora districts.

The State now has 3924 active patients of the disease with Haridwar at top of the table of active cases with 1253 cases. Udham Singh Nagar is now at second place with 884 active cases of the disease. Nainital is in third position with 621 active cases while Dehradun is in fourth position with 504 active patients of Covid 19.  Uttarkashi has 166, Tehri 145, Champawat 95, Pithoragarh 58, Pauri 54, Chamoli 53, Almora 42, Bageshwar 25 and Rudraprayag 24 active cases of the disease.
