The VIMSAR authorities on Thursday decided to close the out-patient department (OPD) services of Medicine department from Friday.
VIMSAR Director Lalit Kumar Meher said OPD services of the Medicine Department will remain closed from tomorrow till August 12.
The decision was taken after 38 doctors of Medicine Department of the institute were sent on quarantine. So far, a total of 70 Doctors of the institute are on isolation.
As the OPD services of the Medicine Department will remain closed, telemedicine services of the department would be launched from tomorrow, Meher added. The VISMAR issued two numbers – 7655051598 and 7655051601 to provide telemedicine facilities to critical patients of Medicine Department.
