4 deaths, 260 fresh cases in Chandigarh

The Union Territory of Chandigarh on Friday reported four Covid-19 fatalities and 260 fresh positive cases. With this, the death toll due to Covid-19 reached 110 while the total case tally stood at 9,506 in the city.

"Out of total 9,506 positive cases, there were 2,978 active cases in the city. With

353 fresh recoveries reported in the past 24 hours, a total of 6,415 residents have so far recovered from the virus," stated Chandigarh Health Department's evening bulletin.

In the past 24 hours, Manimajra recorded a maximum of 31 fresh positive cases. 12 fresh cases were reported in Mauli Jagran, 11 in Sector 45, 10 cases each were reported in Sectors 44, 52 and 20.

The fresh cases were reported from Sector 9, 10, 12, 15, 16, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40, 41, 42, 43, 44, 45, 46, 47, 48, 49, 51, 52, 55, 56, 61, 63, Sector 38 west, Bapu Dham colony in Sector 26, Behlana, Burail, Dadumajra, Daria, Dhanas, Hallomajra, Industrial Area Phase 2, Khuda Alisher, Khuda Lahora, Kishangarh, Maloya, Manimajra, Mauli Jagran, Palsora, Raiput Khurd and Ram Darbar, the health bulletin said.
