A woman along two males were allegedly lynched by villagers at Dengardih village under Raidih police station of Gumla district on Monday night about 30 km from district headquarters after villagers discovered that the woman Nilam Kujur (35) with help of her make friends murdered her husband Marianus Kujur (45). Police got information about mass murder on Tuesday morning.
“I visited the spot and we got important leads and evidence in this matter including blood stained lathi, a mobile phone, a bike and a cheque. From the premise of Nilam four bodies have been recovered including she, her husband and two others,” said Gumla SP HP Janardan. Sources in the police said that the deceased woman was carrying an extramarital affair. She killed her husband with help of these two males who had visited her house on her invitation.
“Preliminary investigation has revealed that two deceased male persons are Sudip Dungdung (32) and Paku Kullu (30) and they seem to be residents of Nongadha village under Kersai police station of Simdega district. Police gathered this initial information on the basis of the registration number of the bike, mobile phone besides a blank cheque recovered from the spot which belonged to them. It seems that the deceased woman had a very close friendship with either one or both. They frequently visited Nilam. On Monday evening they came to meet Nilam,” said sources in the police.
