47 new Covid patients reported in State

The number of novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) patients in Uttarakhand surged past 3300 figure mark on Thursday with the state health department reporting 47 new patients of the disease. The state now has 3305 patients of the disease. On the day the authorities discharged 22 patients of the disease from different hospitals of the state which increased the tally of recovered patients in the state to 2672.  The recovery rate in the state remains at a healthy 80.85 percent and the doubling rate in the state too is 60.66 days which is above the national average. However on a worrying note a staggering 5574 samples are yet to be tested in different labs of the state. Mention worthily 4.22 percent of the samples tested so far have tested positive for the disease.

The state health dept reported 20 new patients of the disease from provisional state capital Dehradun on Thursday. Incidentally two patients reported in Dehradun on the day are health care workers. In Nainital 12 new patients surfaced on the day. Five patients of the disease were reported from Pauri and Tehri districts on the day while three patients surfaced in Udham Singh Nagar district. The authorities also reported two patients from Champawat district.

The authorities discharged nine patients from Nainital and six from Dehradun districts. In Bageshwar three patients were discharged while two patients were released from hospital in Almora district. In Uttarkashi and Haridwar districts one patient each was discharged.

The state now has 558 active patients of the disease admitted in different hospitals. Nainital continued its number one position on table of active patients with 182 active patients while Dehradun replaced Udham Singh Nagar on second spot.

 It now has 132 active patients while with 131 active patients Udham Singh Nagar is at third position. Haridwar 28, Uttarkashi 26, , Almora 16, Pauri 13, Champawat nine, Bageshwar seven, Tehri six, Pithoragarh five and Chamoli has three  active cases of the disease. Rudraprayag district has no active case of the disease now.
