Recalling its pre poll promises, Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee (JPCC), the coalition partner in Chief Minister Hemant Soren led State Government on Sunday said that as many as five hand pumps will be installed at every panchayat of the State so that the people do not face drinking water crisis.

JPCC chief and Food Supply Minister Rameshwar Oraon said apart from installing five hand pumps in every panchayat, the Government will make ten lakh new ration cards in the State.

The ration cards will be made available to the needy on priority basis  and the Government is also committed to provide timely pension to widows and apart from this, electricity bills of up to 100 units will be waived off in the State.

Oraon was speaking to reporters after attending a two-day visit to Lohardaga and participating in various events and review meetings with the District officials and consulting with Congress workers.

The Food Supply Minister said that he is visiting villages and has observed in most of the villages that the villagers have got employment through various schemes operated under MNREGA, rural economy is fast returning to the track. He informed that fertilizer and seeds are also being made available to the farmers so that they could start their farming works on time.

Speaking on the occasion, Rajya Sabha MP Dheeraj Prasad Sahu said that effective steps were taken by the State Government to prevent the global epidemic Corona infection from spreading in the State.

The State Government has done tremendous work so far during the time of distress and provided food to every needy family and now also provides employment to migrant and local workers.

Meanwhile, JPCC Spokesperson Alok Kumar Dubey, Lal Kishorenath Shahdeo and Rajesh Gupta issued a joint statement and said that if the irregularities took place during the reign of former Chief Minister Raghubar Das will be properly investigated, then the biggest scam in the history of 70 years of independent India will unearth.

The spokespersons said Raghubar Das’ statement that he does not know how to run a colony, is raising questions on the functioning of the Central Government, this statement reflects his arrogance.

“For this reason, first the people completely rejected him and now the party has also ignored him while announcing the State Working Committee. In order to remain in the headlines in the media he is giving some baseless statement because he knows that his career has ended,” they said.
