565 fresh cases reported in Haryana

Haryana on Friday reported 565 fresh COVID-19 cases taking the state’s total tally to 19934. Three more deaths including one each in Ambala, Rohtak and Fatehabad was reported in Haryana in the last 24 hours taking the total toll to 290 in the state. The case-doubling rate in Haryana on Friday stood at 20 days, COVID positive rate at 5.75 per cent, recovery rate recorded at 74.77 percent, according to the Haryana Health Department’s evening bulletin. The fatality rate is recorded at 1.45 percent in Haryana.

  “Out of 565 fresh cases, 111 were reported from Gurugram, 68 from Mahendragarh, 66 from Rewari and Hisar, 50 from Sonepat, 24 from Rohtak, 16 from Jhajjar, 38 from Panipat among other cases,” the bulletin stated. As per the bulletin, zero case was reported in Faridabad. 

Till date, 14904 patients (including 394 in the last 24 hours) have recovered and have been discharged from hospitals in the state. There are a total of 4740 active cases in Haryana, the bulletin added.

According to the health bulletin, the total number of cases in the worst-affected Gurugram district stood at 6578 and 103 fatalities has been reported. Faridabad has recorded 5108 cases and 98 deaths while Sonepat with 1778 cases has recorded 20 deaths. Till date, 5508 people in Gurugram, 4119 people in Faridabad and 1158 in Sonepat have recovered from the deadly virus, the bulletin added.

Giving details of patients in critical condition in the state, the bulletin said, “57 patients are on oxygen support while 16 are on ventilator.  As many as 3.52 lakh samples have been tested till date in Haryana. The report of 5730 samples is awaited, it added.

Meanwhile, five days after Hisar BJP MP Brijendra Singh was tested positive for COVID-19, he was shifted to a hospital in Delhi after his fever did not subside. A spokesperson for the MP on Friday posted on Twitter that Brijendra Singh had been suffering from fever for nine days.

He is under constant observation of a medical team and has been shifted to a hospital in Delhi. He has no other symptoms except a fever, informed the spokesperson.

Brijendra had also tweeted about his health on Thursday to say that he was still experiencing fever while his condition continues to be stable. The Union Health Minister Dr Harshvardhan had inquired about his condition on Thursday. The MP was tested positive for the virus on July 4.
