Police have succeeded in nabbing six persons from different places involved in a robbery in a finance company in Shantinagar Pada of Khariar town in Nuapada district.
The Branch Manager of Fusion Micro Finance Private Limited had filed an FIR with the Khariar police alleging that four persons barged into the firm’s office and looted Rs 7 lakh from the treasury after attacking him with an iron rod.
Based on the complaint, when police visited the office of finance company for probe it was found that, the robbers had looted Rs 3,34,000 out of Rs 7 lakh kept in the locker. The rest amount was intact in the locker as the robbers were unable to find it.
A police team led by Khariar police station IIC Kailash Ch Sethi investigated the case and nabbed six robbers out of the seven from different villages of Balangir and Rayagada districts.
One of the accused is still at large. One of the robbers is a staff of the Lathor branch of the company, who is alleged to be the mastermind of the incident.
The police has recovered one Oppo mobile phone out of the two looted and Rs 1,88,160 from the robbers possession.
