The State registered 67 new Covid-19 cases on Sunday, taking the total tally to 1,337.
Puri district reported the highest 16 positive cases. It was followed by Nayagarh district with 13, Balangir and Ganjam districts seven each, Angul district six, Sundargarh and Kalahandi districts four each, Cuttack and Malkangiri districts two each and Jagatsinghpur district one.
Nuapada and Bargarh were added to the list of coronavirus-hit districts with both reporting a positive case each. With this, the virus has spread to 28 districts.
Out of the 67 new cases, 60 were from quarantine centres, four of home quarantine and three local.
However, as many as 53 more patients recovered from the disease on the day, taking the total number of recovery cases in the State to 550. While 30 recovered in Ganjam district, 18 recovered in Jajpur, three in Khordha and two in Keonjhar.
So far, Ganjam district has reported the highest 348 cases, followed by 239 in Jajpur, 128 in Baleswar, 98 in Bhadrak, 81 in Puri, 77 in Khordha, 59 in Cuttack, 45 in Nayagarh, 40 in Kendrapada, 37 in Sundargarh, 33 in Boudh, 31 in Jagatsinghpur and 25 in Angul, the Health and Family Welfare Department said.
