Abhinav Bindra interacts with players

Renowned sportsperson Abhinav Bindra and his team interacted with the players of State through an online conference on Tuesday. The online conference was held at Major Dhyanchand Stadium.

In an effort to modernise and upgrade the Sports High-Performance Centre, the conference was organised. It is to be noted that the centre was initiated by State Minister of Sports and Youth Welfare Department Yashodhara Raje Scindia. She has been working in the field of high performance to upgrade the sports scientists, trainers, sportspersons and Sports Science Center.

Here on Tuesday, Bindra and his team through online video conferencing gave a presentation for Sports High Performance. Abhinav Bindra Foundation's High-Performance Director Digpal Singh Ranaut explained about the Sports High-Performance Model by Abhinav Bindra Foundation. In his presentation, he told about the new techniques of sports science and sports science.

He informed that Abhinav Bindra Target Performance Center is established at six locations. These include Mohali, Delhi, Pune, Odisha, Gurgaon and Bangalore.

Ranaut also informed that through these centres, more than five lakh players have been assisted by them. He also said that his foundation is working for athlete development. He is working with innovative techniques in the field of coach education, athlete assessment and testing, injury and rehabilitation.

Moreover, he informed that his foundation has brought the world's most modern sports science techniques to India including Isokinetic Machine, EMS (Electro Mayo Stimulation), IceBath, Athlete Magentum System Kindact, Games Specific Talent ID Systems are predominant.

Later, India's Olympic gold medalist player and Abhinav Bindra Foundation's head, Abhinav Bindra informed the Sports Minister that he is ready to cooperate to take the sports and sportspersons of Madhya Pradesh to a higher level.

Bindra called the need for new sports science techniques today. He also informed the Sports Minister that his foundation along with the ELMS Foundation is going to conduct a Mental Wellness Programme for the currently trained sportspersons at Madhya Pradesh State Sports Academy from September 21 to October 11.

In this programme, Singapore's High-Performance Sports Psychologist Sanjana Kiran will train sportspersons, coaches and sports leaders from Madhya Pradesh. He informed that in the current Covid-19 transition period, this workshop will play an important role in making a comeback for the players.
