District Administration continues action against sonography clinics that do not have trained personnel for operating such diagnostic machine.
The decision was taken for holding action against such clinics during district level meeting of PCPNDT Act implementation committee headed by deputy commissioner Uma Shankar Singh.
The committee had found that more than ten such clinics that are located in different parts of district were operating without any trained personnel. They did not have any technician or radiologist either.
The committee had asked those clinics to stop operation but when they remained operative despite the directive the committee members visited the identified clinics and sealed the machines.
In last three days action against six such clinics were taken and their machines were sealed, told Dr Gautam, who is among the team members.
Among the clinics sealed are some prominent gynaecologist of the district.
The action would continue till all such clinics were not sealed as per the directive of the deputy commissioner, told Dr Gautam.
