Ranchi Deputy Commissioner (DC) Chhavi Ranjan conducted a review meeting of the various cells set up for the prevention of Covid-19 on Monday. Senior officials of various cells, associate officers and members were present for the meeting.

In the meeting it was decided that if a person is seen without a mask in the State capital, the district administration will get him or her tested for Covid-19. These static testing centres will be set up in two places- near the Church Complex (Sainik Market) and Khadgada bus stand, Kantatoli. It was also decided that all shops and establishments which were sealed after being found to be violating the guidelines will be allowed to start operations only after all employees have been tested for coronavirus.

“From Dussehra to Chhath Puja people have stepped out of their homes and come in contact with others due to which the chances of the infection spreading have increased. In this regard, a review meeting with the concerned officials was conducted for the upcoming two months,” said Ranjan.

The DC enquired about the Covid-19 investigation being done at various places in Ranchi and directed the testing cell in-charge to increase the tests. He further directed the Sub- Divisional Officer, Sadar, Ranchi to maintain and review the rapid antigen RTPCR test ratio.

Ranjan took stock about the number of beds available for treatment of corona patients, ICU, ventilators and further directed the Civil Surgeon, Ranchi to increase the same. The civil surgeon was also directed to submit a two- month plan for training of para medical personnel and availability of anesthesiologists.

In order to check the patients in home isolation, the DC issued instructions to the ADM Law and Order regarding timely visit by a doctor and provision of medical kit.
